Imagine that you are ready to release the weight of the past. You’ve carried it long enough, and now, you’re choosing to step into something new—a space where healing is possible. As you take a deep breath, you feel the solid ground beneath you, anchoring you in this moment.
You open your computer, not just to join a retreat, but to step into connection. A quiet knowing settles within you—you are not alone in this. Others are here, walking their own paths through loss, seeking the same peace, the same release.
As you close your eyes for a moment, you notice the tension you’ve been holding. The unspoken emotions, the weight of grief, the quiet ache of absence. And yet, with each breath, something begins to shift. You’re here now, ready to let go, ready to receive.
This is your time. A space where you can soften, where you can be seen, where healing doesn’t have to happen alone.

Are you ready for transformation?
Are you exhausted from acting “fine” when you’re not? Hiding your grief behind a brave face, afraid of making others uncomfortable?
It’s time to stop pretending. At this retreat, you’ll have the space to be real, release the weight of masking your pain, and finally breathe freely—from the comfort and privacy of your own home.
After carrying it all alone for so long, imagine feeling safe to finally express your grief to people who can relate—who won’t rush to fix you, silence you, or tell you to ‘move on’?
Here, you don’t have to explain or defend your feelings. In a supportive space with others who get it, you’ll be seen, heard, and held, free to share your heart without fear of judgment.
What if, instead of feeling overwhelmed by emotions you don’t fully understand, you had the tools to navigate them—without shutting down or pushing them away?
Through daily group check-ins, guided techniques, and shared reflection, you may begin to see your pain and resistance in a new light. What if the heaviness you’ve been carrying—the exhaustion, the frustration, the stuckness—was actually grief? And once you recognize it for what it is, you can finally begin to move through it with ease and compassion, cultivating resilience and inner peace.
Can you imagine how your life would change if you could finally make peace with your loss—whether it’s the absence of a loved one, the end of a relationship, a major life transition, or the dreams that didn’t unfold the way you had hoped?
Through powerful healing practices, you’ll release the emotions that keep you stuck and begin to honor what was, while creating space for what’s next. Even in this virtual space, you are not alone. This is your path to freedom.
How Can You Truly Retreat Online? Here’s the Power Behind It…
It’s completely natural to question how a virtual retreat could create meaningful transformation. But in many ways, the online format makes this retreat even more powerful.
By participating from the comfort of your own home, you’re integrating your healing into the very space where you experience daily life. The transformation doesn’t just happen in a distant retreat center—it happens where you live, giving you the chance to apply your newfound awareness to your everyday environment.
This retreat allows you to explore and heal within your own boundaries, in a safe, connected community. It’s not about being overwhelmed by technology—it’s about learning to move through it in a way that supports your emotional and physical well-being. You’ll be guided with care, ensuring the experience feels gentle, empowering, and nourishing. (Image by Vecteezy)

What if, as part of this retreat, you created a sacred space in your own home—a space that offers you refuge, just as a retreat center would?

My mother’s death was the biggest trauma in my life. At age 19, I woke to find her lying deceased on our bathroom floor. I never dealt with the trauma at the time and didn’t realize how much it was affecting me until I was in my late 30s, when I realized the tears from that event were still just under the surface.
That’s when I did what we are going to do on this retreat. Work through all aspects of her death and our life together until they simply became stories. No more holding those tears down. No more thoughts of her death popping into my mind at awkward times. No more sadness and feeling sorry for myself. Just peace and acceptance.
What we are going to experience on this retreat is what I did with each trauma from my life, and is what has allowed me to deepen my self-awareness so that now I can sense inside my body. I have shifted my skull bones and grown ¾ of an inch in my 50s because I have released tension at such a deep level. This retreat will show you the way.

Losing my mother brought up complex grief – a blend of relief, sadness, and a deep guilt tied to her memory and belongings. I understand firsthand the weight that unexpressed grief and past wounds can carry, often lingering silently in our bodies.
For years, I tried to push through the overwhelm and anxiety, striving hard to “earn” happiness. It wasn’t until an autoimmune illness left me temporarily paralyzed that I was forced to confront the buried pain from my past.
During this healing journey, I discovered therapeutic laughter and somatic grief practices, which became a lifeline. Laughter allowed me to release old fears and patterns in my body, bringing moments of lightness and joy I hadn’t felt in years. These embodied practices gave me permission to process my emotions fully, empowering me to transform that pain into resilience and peace.
Today, I work with whose who have experienced loss or trauma, helping them reconnect to joy. Through grief work, emotional support, and joyful embodiment practices, I provide a compassionate space where buried grief can be expressed and transformed into peace and strength.

Dear Woman Carrying the Weight of Loss,
I want to take a moment to share the vision behind “Liberation Beyond Loss: Grieve, heal, and find your way forward.” This retreat comes from a deeply personal place for me, shaped by my own journey through one of the hardest experiences of my life.
When I was 19, I awoke one morning to find my mother lying lifeless on our bathroom floor. It was a moment that shattered my world, and for years, I carried the weight of that trauma deep within me, not realizing how profoundly it was affecting every aspect of my life. It wasn’t until my late 30s that I truly began to understand the depth of the grief and pain I had been holding onto.
So, I decided to do the hard work of healing. I faced the memories, worked through the pain, and slowly those memories became stories—stories I could hold without the weight of sadness and loss. It was a process that brought me a level of peace I never thought possible.
That’s what I hope for you on this retreat—a chance to find your own path to healing, to let go of what’s holding you back, and to discover a sense of peace and acceptance. We’ll do this together, in a space that supports you to feel, release, and grow.
Carla and I are honored to share this journey with you and to create a safe place where you can connect with others who truly understand. It’s not just about healing; it’s about embracing life with new clarity and strength.
Sincerely,
Ann Hince
A letter from Carla
Dear Beautiful Souls,
When I was young, I lost more than I understood at the time. I lost the innocence of childhood, the safety of being cared for, and the freedom to simply be a child. My mother carried her own deep wounds, and because of that, I found myself stepping into roles beyond my years—caretaker, peacemaker, the one who held everything together. I became skilled at anticipating others’ needs while burying my own.
And that wasn’t the only loss. Along the way, I lost friendships to time and tragedy. I lost the feeling of belonging. I lost pieces of myself—pieces I didn’t even know were missing until much later. And when my mother passed, I was left not just grieving her, but grieving the relationship we never got to have. The guilt, anger, and relief all tangled together, making it impossible to process the weight of it all.
For years, I carried these emotions in silence, holding them in my body like stones. The exhaustion, the hyper-vigilance, the fear of abandonment—it all lived inside me, shaping how I moved through the world. It wasn’t until I discovered embodiment practices—Grief Yoga, Laughter Yoga, EFT, and deep self-compassion—that I truly began to understand what healing could feel like. I learned how to meet my grief instead of running from it. And in doing so, I found something unexpected: joy.
This is why I co-created Liberation Beyond Loss—a virtual retreat designed for anyone carrying unseen grief, unspoken pain, and the weight of loss in its many forms. This retreat isn’t just about grieving those we’ve lost—it’s about reclaiming the parts of ourselves that grief has buried. It’s about learning to release the weight, to soften, and to create space for something new.
You don’t have to hold it all alone.
I see you. I honor you. And I would be deeply honored to walk this path with you.
With all my heart,
Carla
