Free Will? Or Destiny?

I always used to think that I was just some random person who simply did a lot of inner work and ended up developing some weird powers. I thought I had used free will to choose this path. I teach what I do partly because I don’t want to be the only one with these powers.

I am no longer so sure that it was free will, though. Maybe this was my destiny after all. See what you think…

My Birthday Numbers

Today is my 60th birthday.

Sixes and zeros fit in well with my birthdate: 10-16-66. This year I am 60. Next year, 61. Os, 1s, and 6s. So this year and next could be pivotal.

Split my birthdate into two numbers down the middle and it becomes 101 and 666.

101

  • 101 is Neo’s room number in the movie The Matrix, at the start of his journey.
  • 101 is also the room number of the feared torture chamber in the book 1984, where people are forced to face their worst nightmares.
  • 101 is also the number used to signify the beginning, or basics, of a subject, as in Algebra 101.

666

In The Matrix Revolutions, Neo fights his ego (the agents, but primarily Agent Smith). As he gets deeper inside, the fights become longer and more intense. When asked who Agent Smith is, the Oracle says: He is you. Your opposite, your negative, the result of the equation trying to balance itself out.

In 1984, Room 101 is in the Ministry of Love. Face your deepest fear, and only then can you experience peace and love.

Revelation 13:18

A couple of weeks ago I started to really look at Revelation 13:18. Here is how I am currently translating it from the original Greek (with the help of AI/SI to show which words to choose from):

Here the wisdom is the one having insight. Let him figure out the reckoning of the wild beast tally, since a person’s number exists and the number belonging to him: 666.

A reckoning is a future time when someone must face the consequences of their past actions.

Let him or her pay the consequences of the build-up of the ego, of the tension stored inside from the past. That is what happened in both The Matrix, through the agents, and 1984, through facing the deepest fears.

  • 101 is the beginning of the journey.
  • 666 is the number of the person whose ego needs to be reckoned with.

My Names

Continuing on with this personal theme, since it’s my birthday 🙂:

  • My name at birth was Francesca Louise Langford.
  • At adoption, that was changed to Helen Ann Blevins.
  • At marriage, it changed to Helen Ann Hince.

Calling me Ann, rather than Anne, seemed strange to me, given I was born in England and Princess Anne was a few years older than me. As far as I know, I wasn’t named after anyone in particular, except that Helen was after my mom’s favorite sister, my Auntie Helen.

Word Associations

As part of my deep dive into EFT/tapping and word associations, notice the association with the name Helen. The first syllable: Hell. Helen. Say it fast enought and it could be: Hell and. Hell and Ann. A fairly interesting mirror to 101 666.

The word hinc means “here” in Latin. The word Ann, if the two “n”s are combined into one “m”, becomes Am.

Am Here. I Ann Hince. I am here.

Hinc Sapientia

There’s a fairly famous image in Rosicrucian tradition that contains much symbolism: the Speculum Sophicum Rhodostauroticum (“Mirror of Rosicrucian Wisdom”). Looked at from a distance, it is also the image of a skull, and within the nasal openings are the words Hinc Sapientia, which means “wisdom is found here,” or “Here the wisdom.”

That’s when I first learned that hinc means “here,” and it’s where I got the name of my company.

(As a side note: if you’ve seen my work, you know that I believe the seat of consciousness, where God resides, is within the sphenoid sinus, back behind the nose. It is the place where wisdom is found, as depicted in the Rosicrucian image.)

I knew of this image and understood the symbology when I started my LLC about 6 years ago. It is called Hince Sapientia, LLC.

My book is called A Pathway to Insight, because I developed insight: inward-sight, or inside-sight. The first sentence of Revelation 13:18, which I just translated, is: Here the wisdom is the one having insight.

So, What Do You Think?

So, was it free will that I went down this path? Or was it predetermined that I married my husband and became a Hince? Was the whole thing predetermined and I simply went along with it without really having any choice?
